Ruan Yao smelled so good.
When lying beside him, the cool strands of his hair fell on Gu Rongming's arm, leaving a tingling sensation.
A faint and alluring floral fragrance, like a veil of smoke, intoxicated Gu Rongming’s senses in the night.
Like a fairy.
Gu Rongming was wide awake. In fact, he hadn't had a good night's sleep for a long time due to illness and excessive worry.
The man lay in the dark, his clear eyes open, gazing at Ruan Yao's sleeping face under the faint moonlight filtering through the window.
Ruan Yao was curled on his side, his knees drawn up. His black hair cascaded down his thin shoulders, rising and falling gently with the rhythm of his breathing.
Gu Rongming, as if bewitched, reached out and lifted a strand of his long black hair.
It was cool, and it smelled good.
In the moonlight, it shimmered like tiny stars.
"Sleeping so soundly with a stranger" Gu Rongming murmured, mischievously brushing the strand of hair across Ruan Yao’s eyelashes.
"So naive"
Ruan Yao frowned in his sleep, instinctively dodging.
Gu Rongming pinched his cheek, preventing him from escaping.
Ruan Yao’s cheeks still carried soft baby fat, feeling like springy jelly that was addictively pleasant to squeeze.
The more Ruan Yao avoided him, the more Gu Rongming wanted to tease him.
Gu Rongming flipped over and pressed Ruan Yao beneath him.
Since Ruan Yao had already prepared to seduce him, she must have also considered the consequences, right?
Gu Rongming smiled. His appearance was that of a refined and elegant gentleman, but in the shadows, his brows and eyes exuded an oppressive and obsessive aura.
"Trying to charm someone and leave unscathed? It’s not that simple."
Ruan Yao slept deeply, completely unaware of the danger approaching.
Gu Rongzhang was a pervert. As his half-brother, Gu Rongming knew this well. Outwardly, he appeared to be a polished and successful man, but in reality, he was twisted and enjoyed tormenting young, beautiful girls who had just reached adulthood.
Perhaps he should feel fortunate. His older brother hadn’t had the chance to harm Ruan Yao before his death.
In his dream, Ruan Yao vaguely felt like he was being ensnared by some terrifying creature. Cold scales wrapped around him, releasing icy breaths as lifeless fingers caressed every inch of his body. His pajamas were cruelly torn open, revealing the soft flesh underneath.
Ruan Yao tried to wake up. His eyelashes trembled fiercely, but he couldn’t open his eyes, as if trapped in a fog.
He felt like he was about to be devoured by a monster.
Sharp teeth pressed against his vulnerable throat, the steady flow of blood in his veins screaming his vitality and allure.
The hands roaming over his body became increasingly invasive, untying the bindings and sliding from his slightly heaving chest down to his slender waist, finally stopping at the black fabric dutifully concealing his most private area.
A helpless gasp escaped Ruan Yao’s lips.
A tear, like dew, pooled under his long, tightly closed eyelashes.
Gu Rongming’s movements suddenly halted, his gaze freezing as hesitation flickered across his face.
The air grew silent.
Then, a low, suppressed, almost deranged laugh came from the man’s throat: "Little liar"
His grip tightened slightly, causing Ruan Yao to struggle in discomfort. Ruan Yao pushed against him with his hands, tears staining his cheeks.
Despite his disability, Gu Rongming’s strength was unnervingly strong. Ruan Yao couldn’t budge him at all.
Their hair tangled together, their fingers intertwined. Ruan Yao had nowhere to escape in Gu Rongming’s embrace.
On the wall behind them, under the night’s curtain, their intertwined shadows loomed large.
It resembled an evil dragon clinging tightly to a fleeing bride.
"Who else knows this secret, my dear sister-in-law?" Gu Rongming murmured, biting down on the fragile neck and leaving a deep imprint on the pale skin.
"Did Gu Rongzhang force you to dress like this, hmm?"
"What else did he make you do?"
Ruan Yao’s eyes fluttered open hazily.
Gu Rongming’s breath hitched.
Ruan Yao didn’t seem fully awake. His gaze was misty and unfocused, his blinks slower than usual. His cheeks were tinged with a faint blush, looking completely bullied and oblivious.
He didn’t seem to recognize Gu Rongming, instead staring at the man blankly for a moment before pursing his bitten lips, which glistened enticingly, and planting a light kiss on Gu Rongming’s face.
As he pulled back, Gu Rongming clearly saw the alluring sheen on Ruan Yao’s lips.
Gu Rongming’s eyes darkened, the tension in his body visible, veins bulging on the back of his hands.
Ruan Yao’s gesture was instinctive, a sleepy attempt to comfort the man hovering over him, hoping he would calm down and stop disturbing his rest.
Still entirely unaware that his disguise had been seen through, Ruan Yao clung to Gu Rongming’s neck in a daze, his voice sticky and soft as if he were pleading: "Stop it. Let’s just sleep, okay?"
Gu Rongming was hugged voluntarily by Ruan Yao, his nose filled with the intoxicating and seductive scent on Ruan Yao’s body.
It was as if Gu Rongming was determined to leave his mark, planting scattered red marks on Ruan Yao’s neck with his kisses.
"This time, I’ll let you go," he whispered softly, tightly embracing the person in his arms as though holding his most precious treasure.

The next day, when Ruan Yao woke up, Gu Rongming was already dressed and seated in his wheelchair, watching the news.
The man appeared to have slept well, looking refreshed, even with a faint, relaxed smile on his lips.
Ruan Yao, however, didn’t feel the same.
He dreamed of being pinned down by a ghost.
While asleep, an inexplicable force immobilized him entirely, making even the smallest movement impossible. In the end, he could only endure and mentally beg the ghost to let him go, repeating his surrender a thousand times before being released.
When he woke up, his whole body ached as if a thousand cars had run over him. There was even a fleeting suspicion that Gu Rongming had beaten him up while he was sleeping.
As Ruan Yao propped himself up on his arms, his muscles screamed in pain, eliciting a soft whimper from him.
Gu Rongming, looking every bit the dignified gentleman, asked with apparent concern, "What’s wrong?"
Ruan Yao had no intention of admitting his encounter with a paranormal event. Lowering his gaze, he muttered, "Nothing."
When he wobbled to his feet, his legs nearly gave out beneath him.
Fortunately, Gu Rongming was sitting at the bedside and quickly reached out to steady him. "Feeling weak?"
Ruan Yao was still wearing the same pajamas from the night before, and through the thin fabric, Gu Rongming could feel the warmth of his skin against his palm.
The man lowered his gaze and quickly let go, subtly rubbing his palm afterward.
Since childhood, Gu Rongming’s body temperature had always been cold, and few people were willing to stay close to him. As a result, he found himself particularly drawn to this soft, warm sensation.
A faint red mark remained on Ruan Yao’s thigh, left from the previous night’s kiss. Ruan Yao himself didn’t notice, but as his pajama hem shifted, it was revealed entirely to Gu Rongming.
At this moment, Gu Rongming’s face was shamelessly thick-skinned.
Feigning nonchalance, he suggested to Ruan Yao, "Should I grab some clothes for you? Going out dressed like this might not be ideal."
The Gu family mansion was enormous, and returning to his room might mean encountering many people.
Ruan Yao nodded eagerly. "Sure, sure."
Gu Rongming’s clothes were all custom-made to fit his measurements. Ruan Yao, being much smaller in build, appeared as though he was wearing an oversized boyfriend shirt after putting them on.
Lowering his head, Ruan Yao carefully rolled the sleeves up to his forearms, unknowingly exposing a collection of faint bite marks on the back of his neck.
Gu Rongming reached out to adjust Ruan Yao’s collar.
“Second Master, your breakfast” Gu Rongming’s personal assistant knocked at the door.
When Qi Ren pushed open the door to Gu Rongming’s room, he was immediately met with Ruan Yao’s amber eyes.
Ruan Yao was sitting at the edge of the bed, his legs swinging idly under the oversized shirt. Gu Rongming, meanwhile, was carefully fixing his clothes.
Never mind Gu Rongming’s rare show of tenderness—Ruan Yao appearing in his younger uncle’s room was shocking enough!
Qi Ren almost lost his words. "Madam, how… Uh, good morning."
Seeing Qi Ren enter, Ruan Yao instinctively wanted to hide, only for Gu Rongming to press him back down by the neck. "He’s my confidant. It’s fine."
Ruan Yao could only purse his lips, offering a polite smile. "Good morning to you too."
Qi Ren, still reeling from the shock, absentmindedly placed the breakfast tray on the table. "I’ll bring another serving for Madam."
He left in a near panic, his retreating figure resembling someone fleeing from a ferocious hound.
Calmly, Gu Rongming commented, "A little vixen."
Ruan Yao’s round eyes curved into crescents, the brilliant golden-brown sunlight reflecting shards of light in his gaze. “Nope” he replied.
As Ruan Yao spoke, a delightful fragrance wafted from his lips. “I’m actually a peach blossom that transformed”
Gu Rongming obviously didn’t take him seriously. Gently patting Ruan Yao’s head, he responded affectionately “Hmm”
“If you don’t like wearing dresses in the future, you don’t have to” Gu Rongming’s palm pressed against the delicate butterfly bones on Ruan Yao’s back. “Gu Rongzhang is already dead. You can be yourself if you want.”
Ruan Yao, still unaware that his secret had been exposed, stared at him in confusion. “What are you talking about?”
Gu Rongming’s fingers, which were twirling a strand of Ruan Yao’s hair, paused. He realized he might have rushed things. With Ruan Yao having entered the Gu family under the guise of a woman, abruptly reverting to his true identity could cause quite an uproar.
There was no need to rush. After all, Ruan Yao was already part of the Gu family.
Gu Rongming looked down at Ruan Yao with a confident smile. Ruan Yao only felt an itch on his neck, as though bitten by a mosquito. The sensation was both itchy and tingly.
Each time he tried to scratch it, Gu Rongming stopped him.
Why was he the only one getting bitten by mosquitoes?
Ruan Yao felt utterly wronged. And why were there mosquitoes in Gu Rongming’s room, anyway?

Qi Ren stood outside the door, his fingers digging harshly into his palm, leaving fierce red marks, as he listened to the faint rustling of clothing from within.
Ruan Yao’s bare ankle, pale as polished jade, haunted his thoughts like a relentless nightmare.
That flawless, snow-white ankle bore the unmistakable imprint of a man’s forceful grip.
Does having wealth and power make you entitled to everything?
My dear, esteemed "Madam"
A beautiful parasitic flower like you must cling to a strong branch to barely survive.
It’s not your fault. The blame lies with me, for being too weak.
Qi Ren’s once-clear and bright eyes gradually darkened with a shadowy haze.
It’s because I’m not strong enough.

Author’s Note:
Gu Rongming: It must’ve been my jerk brother who forced Yao Yao to wear dresses.
Jerk brother: I’m so wrongfully accused!
